Bad PR-Jordan Li Fic
A/N: I saw someone post about needing a fic about Jordan being in a relationship where they're "unmarketable" and haven't been able to get the idea out of my head since. This is written with a black reader in mind. I also have a sequel in mind if anyone wants it.
Word Count: 3739
Warnings: Some sensuality and swearing.
I don't claim to own any characters or property from Gen V or The Boys. All credit to the original gif creators.
Silence was something that I always thought I longed for. Every day for the past twenty years, there was noise, whether it was someone (usually multiple) talking, music blasting, cars going by, or screaming. By now, I thought I would have learned how to tune it out and focus on what was most important: save the little kids from a burning school, study as hard as I could to get into GOD U, and manipulate social media algorithms so much it would make tech experts’ heads spin.
But, I hadn’t. Then, I thought I got used to the noise, the demands to take pictures with total strangers, the background noise of a song I was doing a TikTok challenge to, Liza, my Vought-assigned PR rep, and my parents insisting on what I should wear, and the constant buzzing in the back of my head that my ability caused. However, as I laid on Jordan’s bed, listening to them ramble about Brink, I didn’t mind the noise so much.
“I mean, he’s kind of a mad genius but for good,” Jordan stated. Then, they turned to me with a sheepish smile on their face. “Sorry, I’m boring you, aren’t I?”
I shook my head. “No, no, it’s alright. Brink’s brilliant and it’s amazing that you’re his mentee.” I pushed myself up onto my elbows. “Besides, you’re pretty cute when you’re excited.”
Jordan rolled their eyes and slowly made their way towards me, stopping right at the foot of their bed. “Only when I’m excited?”
“Shut up, you know you always look good,” I teased.
They playfully flipped their hair and batted their eyes. “Well, we can’t all have a glam squad on call so I appreciate it.”
I scoffed, rose to my knees, and playfully pushed their shoulder only for them to switch to their masculine form and grab my hand. “That’s not fair and I didn’t even ask for them, my parents and Liza insisted on it when I got in.”
Jordan nodded but I could tell they weren’t listening since their eyes were on my lips. “I don’t feel like talking anymore.”
Something about their deeper masculine voice sent tingles down my spine and made my stomach feel fuzzy. Then again, they easily caused the same effect in both forms. My breath caught in my throat as soon as our lips touched, and I could feel my heart rate pick up. I tried to relax in their gentle but firm grip as I wrapped my hands around their neck, but it was easier said than done.
Suddenly, my back was against their bed and the kissing got more fervent. Jordan slipped their tongue down my throat and trailed one of their hands down my leg. I shivered as they pulled my leg up around their hip and pressed further into me.
“I should’ve known this is what you meant when you said you wanted to hang out,” I breathed after pulling away for a second.
“I had good intentions but you kept screwing me with your eyes,” Jordan huffed back.
“No, I---” Jordan cut me off, switching to their feminine form and kissing my jaw, working their way down my neck. “Not…fair.”
One of their hands slowly started trailing up under my (their) sweatshirt and I tried to stifle my giggles at the soft touch. After a couple of seconds, I couldn’t help but start giggling and covered my face when Jordan paused their actions and looked up at me.
“Still ticklish?” Jordan teased.
“Shut up, it’s your fault since they're your hands,” I groaned through another laugh.
Jordan smirked at me and ran their hands down my waist, gently tapping my sides, causing more laughter on my end. I tried to reach for their hands to stop them but they were too good at dodging me. At some point during my laughter, my phone started ringing.
“Ignore it,” Jordan whined as they pressed their head against my stomach, their big brown eyes somehow looking bigger and browner than usual.
“I can’t,” I whined back as I pulled away from them and grabbed my phone from my desk. “It’s Liza, I have to answer.”
Jordan rolled their eyes. “That bitch has the worst timing.”
“She might not be able to help it.” I quickly answered the phone. “Hey, Liza.”
“Y/N, I’m on campus and we need to talk ASAP. Meet me outside the Crimefighting building in five,” Liza rattled off.
“Oh, sure, what’s it about?” I asked.
“I’ll tell you when I see you.”
She clicked off and I turned to Jordan, who was much less than pleased.
“Let me guess, you have to go,” they said.
“I’m sorry, it sounded important,” I said as I started grabbing my stuff from around their room. “I’ll try to make it quick.”
“No, don’t worry about it.” They pushed themselves off the bed and stood in front of me, gently grabbing my hands in theirs. “It’s your career and I’m proud of you. I knew what I was getting into when the Cyclone became my girlfriend.”
I wrinkled my nose. “Ugh, don’t say it like that. But I appreciate you and I will show you as much later.” I quickly kissed them and grabbed my shoes. Just as I was about to leave, I paused at something in their closet. “Is that my jacket?”
Jordan shook their head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
I snatched the item from the closet and held it out. “Jordan, you’re going to try to convince me that you’re into vintage Yves Saint Laurent?”
“Your taste rubbed off on me,” they said with a shrug.
“I’m flattered.” I put it back in their closet.
“By the way, do you know where my black hoodie went?”
“See you later!”
About four and a half minutes later, I was sitting at an outdoor table with Liza and my parents. Despite the summer heat, Liza was wearing a navy skirt suit, and her graying black hair was tied into a severe bun on the top of her head. She was typing on two different phones and her laptop simultaneously, deep blue eyes never staying on anything too long. My mom, who sat on my right, smiled kindly.
“So, Y/N, how does it feel to be a junior?” she asked.
“Great, Mom. I thought I told you and Dad that you didn’t have to hover this much since I am a junior now,” I said, glancing at my dad who was on my other side.
“We’re not hovering, it’s been two days since we dropped you off,” Dad insisted. “Besides, this is about business.”
“Wha---”
“Oh my gosh, is that Y/N Y/L/N?” Someone squealed behind me.
“Show time,” I sighed.
The “someone” was actually two someones, a pair of what looked like freshmen. One was a tall, pretty brunette in a white graphic tee and matching mini skirt and the other was an equally pretty, slightly shorter brunette wearing jean shorts and Vans. The taller one held her V-Phone with a death grip.
“Can we take a picture with you?” The taller one asked.
“Of course.” I stood from my seat and made my way over to them.
“I can take it.” But before my mom could stand, Liza shot up from her seat, grabbed the phone, and ushered us closer together.
“Okay, Y/N in the middle, Tall Girl on the left, Short One on the right,” Liza instructed, eyes never looking up from the camera.
“It’s Ashley,” the short one said.
“Smile!”
I did as I was told and the girls were walking away before I could even say an obligatory, “No problem.”
Both my parents smiled as I sat back down.
“It’s great to see that you’re still popular after all this time,” Dad said, his eyes hidden behind his tinted sunglasses.
“As she should be. Y/N has thirty million followers across all her social media and she does amazing in the Midwest and the South, both tough demographics for young black women,” Liza stated.
“Thanks, Liza,” I said, mindlessly playing with the ends of my butterfly locs. “So, you mentioned you were coming but left out my parents.”
At this, Liza finally paused from typing and looked up at me. She slowly set her elbows on the table and rested her chin on top of her pale hands. My head involuntarily started shaking from side to side and Liza lifted one of her hands.
“Let me speak first, Y/N, and then we can argue about it,” Liza stated.
“The last time you said that, I ended up almost getting mauled by a dog during an animal shelter livestream,” I hissed.
“Well, the dog had a serious history of trauma,” Liza insisted.
“You didn’t inform me of that before insisting I cuddle with it for the camera!”
“It was a learning lesson: you are fantastic under pressure.”
I huffed and folded my arms over my chest. “So, what is this about?”
Liza assumed her previous “Serious business” pose. “Like I was saying, you’re doing fantastic numbers. That last TikTok you and Cate did hit a hundred million views in less than twenty-four hours.”
“The ‘Rover’ challenge wasn’t that hard,” I commented.
“That’s amazing!” Mom practically cheered.
“That’s my girl,” Dad said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
I smiled despite the strong sense that a “but” was coming.
“However,” Liza continued.
Uh oh.
“My job is to do everything in my power to make sure everyone associates Y/N Y/L/N and Cyclone with beauty, intelligence, grace, taste, and power. So, we are a little concerned about Jordan.”
Immediately, my shoulders tensed and I gritted my teeth. “Who exactly is ‘we’?” I glanced at my parents.
Mom’s eyes widened and I had no idea what Dad was doing.
“No, of course not, Sweetie, we love Jordan. They have been a fantastic influence on you,” Mom insisted.
I could feel my face warm up about what had transpired with Jordan a few minutes ago. I doubt that would fall under “good influence”, or any time we went out with the others.
“And they give you a run for your money when it comes to combat. You need someone challenging like them. Plus, that Luke boy isn’t bad either,” Dad added.
As their words sunk in, I had a strange feeling that my parents were there to lessen a Vought-sized blow. My suspicions were confirmed when Liza’s lips pressed more firmly together and she was glancing at one of her phones.
“Are you reading a script right now?” I seethed.
Liza’s head shot up and she shook her head. “No, no, Y/N, not at all. Just some notes.” She quickly regrouped. “I understand that you’re happy and you’re probably having some fantastic sex right now----”
“Liza!” I interrupted, praying that the ground would open and swallow me whole.
Suddenly, Dad’s arm was back at his side, and Mom was suddenly very captivated by a pair of seniors skateboarding past.
“But the facts are that a bi-gender Asian supe is not marketable in the Deep South or the Midwest,” Liza said. “I am not shaming Jordan for who they are but, my job is to sustain your relatable-but-unattainable brand and not let anything get in the way of it.”
“You’re saying my partner is a threat to my career?” I asked, my voice much hollower than I intended.
“Potentially. Now, I have come up with a very good alternative.” Liza turned her laptop so it was facing my parents and me. On it was a picture of Andre and some clips of us on social media. “Andre Anderson tested very well. Our focus group members responded positively to the black power couple aesthetic.”
“We’ve met him before, he’s nice,” Mom offered.
“He’s cool and I’ve met his dad and I could see us all getting along,” Dad mentioned.
My head was swirling with so many thoughts that I was convinced I was either going to be overwhelmed by them or find one that was coherent enough to state. My mouth settled on, “It’s the twenty-first century and you’re all telling me I have to break up with my partner because of demographics? Jordan’s an amazing supe and they’re so smart, it’s scary. They can do---will do so much good and the only thing you care about is optics?”
Mom gently touched my arm. “Y/N, please, calm down.”
When I glanced around, I noticed that several Vought-A-Burger wrappers, a couple of cigarettes, and a few panicked squirrels and rabbits were swirling around the table. Quickly, I released the small animals and put the trash in the nearby receptacle.
“Sorry about that,” I muttered, eyeing Liza.
“I understand that you have strong feelings for Jordan but, think about it. With the right moves, you could be living in The Tower with the legends of your generation. Sure, you’re number three at GOD U right now, but this status can easily go away. You’ve worked your entire life to be the hero that little black girls everywhere look up to. Don’t take Cyclone away from them before she even starts,” Liza warned.
I desperately wanted to say something snarky, but my mind was blank. The only thing I could sense was my throat tightening up and my eyes beginning to well. I brushed a loc out of my face to play it off and tried to gain my thoughts.
“How much time do I have before I make a decision?” I asked.
“Twenty-four hours. I’ll be looking out for your call, text, email, or video call,” Liza stated as she started to pack her things.
My parents stood and Mom gave me one of her warm hugs and Dad pulled me to his side.
“It will be okay, Y/N,” he whispered.
I swallowed the giant lump in my throat to thank him and then insisted on walking them back to their car.
A few hours later, Elle Woods was sobbing in the fanciest restaurant in California while I carefully placed my baking pan in the oven. As much as I wanted to sob, I had no time for tears, I had to think. The thinking led me to have so many circular thoughts that my head spun and I resorted to baking and watching my favorite movie.
If Elle could solve a murder case and exonerate her client as a first-year law student, I should be able to figure out this PR mess. On the one hand, I was happier with Jordan than I’ve ever been with anyone. On the other hand, my dreams and my family’s position were hanging by a thread.
Maybe it was better that I channeled my energy into baking cupcakes.
I exhaled a small gust of wind to clear the bowls and utensils from the counter and place them in the dishwasher. Then, I focused on pushing multiple gusts of wind from my hands to clean the counters and wash the dishes. By the time I was done, I was exhausted and flopped on my couch to mindlessly watch the movie.
Unfortunately, the bright and colorful backdrop of Elle’s LSAT studying montage did nothing to take my mind off my dilemma. All I could think about was Jordan’s face when I told them. Breaking up with them would be like shooting a puppy’s mom in front of the puppy and making it watch it bleed out.
How would I tell them anyway? Hey, babe, I’m sorry I had to run out on us almost hooking up to meet with Liza and my parents. Funny story, they want me to break up with you so that I have a shot at a career and date Andre instead. See you for that morning lecture?
Knock! Knock! Knock!
The sound jolted me from my thoughts, and I pushed myself off the couch to answer it. “Rufus, if you try to get me into your room again, I swear to----” I cut myself off at the sight of Jordan, in their feminine form, staring back at me.
They wore a navy sweatshirt and black sweatpants. Also, their cheeks were more flushed than usual and they smelled like their sandalwood body wash, meaning they had probably stopped by the gym recently.
“Is Rufus bothering you again? I’ll go murder him right now,” Jordan said.
I quickly grabbed their wrist. “No, I appreciate the thought but I’m fine, besides, I can take care of myself.”
“I know but I can’t help but worry.”
A strange warm, tingling sensation ran its way from the center of my chest throughout the rest of my body. I was sure that if someone listened closely enough, they would hear me buzzing.
I stepped aside to let Jordan in and leaned against the door to close it. “So, what brings you by?”
They wandered over to my couch, sat down, and grabbed my phone off the coffee table. “Because you haven’t been answering my texts or calls.”
“Crap, I am so sorry, Jordan, I’ve just had a lot on my mind.”
Jordan glanced around my dorm. “I can see that.” They sniffed the air. “Legally Blonde and you’re baking, what happened at the meeting?”
Of course, Jordan would cut straight to the point. Usually, this kind of banter was pleasant but my stomach was in knots as Liza’s words and my parents’ expressions replayed in my mind.
“What? I can’t bake and watch a comfort movie after a last-minute PR meeting?” I asked rhetorically, crossing the room to my desk to start organizing my textbooks.
“Don’t try to deflect, Y/N. Tell me what happened.” Their voice was gentle but firm and I knew that they were not going to let me out of this conversation.
So, I set Brink’s latest book down and sat across from Jordan on my tangerine accent chair. I prayed that I would find the right words to say before blurting them out. As soon as I made eye contact with them, my chest tightened.
“Well, Liza surprised me by having my parents join us,” I started.
Jordan raised their eyebrows. “Shit, this is serious.”
“Uh-huh. Liza said that my numbers are doing great and I’m on track for a promising career.”
“And?”
I gulped. “And…she’s concerned that my personal choices might get in the way of that.”
Jordan frowned. “Personal choices? Every college kid known to man has done illicit substances and drank alcohol underage. You’ve never been caught doing any of that anyway.”
“You’re right but she wasn’t talking about partying; she was talking about us.”
As soon as the bomb rolled off my tongue, I saw its impact on Jordan, from the flashing expressions of confusion and anger to the clenching of their fists. I just wanted to make it stop.
“What?”
As I rambled Liza’s reasoning, I could sense the hurt and animosity flowing from Jordan. Once I finished, the timer for the cupcakes went off and I jumped up to grab them. I could have cried at the momentary escape as I set them on the counter to cool.
“She weaponized your desire to be a positive role model for other girls who look like you to screw you over,” Jordan said slowly.
I wiped my hands on my sweatpants. “Liza’s doing her job, babe, and she’s looking at all angles, including how it could impact my goals.” I returned to my seat and folded my hands in my lap.
“Her job is to make you choose between your relationship and your career?” Jordan asked. “That’s bullshit, this whole thing is.”
“I know, Jordan, trust me, I know, I almost started a small tornado when she said it.”
Jordan eyed me closely for a second. “What else did she say?”
“What?”
“I can tell you’re holding back, Y/N. Whatever else you have to say, it can’t be any worse.”
They might have just jinxed that.
“Liza thinks that Andre would be a better fit for me because a bunch of people like the idea of a black power couple.”
Jordan had two angry responses: the first was they would attempt to tear down anything and everything around them unless consoled. The second was they would become unresponsive and deal with all their rage internally. That night, I got the second one. Their eyes were hollow and the color drained from their face. My eyes welled up as I hoped for them to start screaming, swearing, or something, but nothing happened.
“But I don’t want to do it, Jordan, I think it’s so stupid.” I knelt in front of them, grabbed my phone from their hands, and set it aside to hold them. “My parents don’t even really agree with Liza because they know you and they think you’re awesome.”
“What do you think?” they muttered.
“Like I said, I think it’s stupid. We can figure something else out. Liza can spin us as the ultimate diverse power couple, huh?” I did my best to smile as widely as I could. “Come on, let’s forget about this. I made white velvet cupcakes with cream cheese filling. You can be my first taste tester once they cool.”
Things would work out, they had to. We would figure something out and survive our junior year at GOD U with little to no incidents. Suddenly, Jordan’s hands slipped from my grasp and they shifted to their masculine form.
“What if it doesn’t work out?” Jordan whispered.
“What do you mean?” I replied.
“I mean, you don’t necessarily have to be a supe but, I know that you’re scared for your parents. Your success has helped them a lot and it could destroy them if your reputation takes a hit,” they said. “And I’ve seen how little black girls light up when they see you now and how passionate you are about helping them and, I know that you’re just getting started and I don’t want to be in the way.” “Jordan…”
“I don’t want to hold you back anymore, Y/N,” they muttered.
Their words sunk deep into my core like a boulder and took all my words with it. I wanted to tell them that they could never hold me back and that they made me a better super, a better person. But all I could do was watch as they stood and walked out of my dorm, taking our one and a half year relationship with them.

Tender Threads CH2 ( Homelander x OC )

chapter two: signed and sealed
chapter directory | slow burn, hurt/comfort, fluff, spidersona as original character, original trans male character, smut, sublander
summary: benjamin knows full well he's out there, watching and waiting, even doing a little breaking and entering. homelander is simply biding his time until he gets his way.
Benjamin’s personal life had always been a simple one. With little to no time to truly be, there wasn’t much drama to get mixed up in– well, there used to be. Back when he tried to have the best of both worlds, there was… a lot. Failed relationships, friends walking out on him, family shunning him for his absences, unreliability, and perceived short temper that was truly just pure exhaustion. It was one hell of a cocktail, but sometimes the loneliness was worse. It was hard to see the few people who still talked to him, and harder still to make time to call his folks, but somehow those relationships survived.
Worse yet was his track record with jobs. Delivery boy was optimal given his particular skill set, but showing up on time with every little disturbance was beyond difficult. Table waiting jobs were even worse, and he’d lost a fair few. These days he supplements income with side photography while primarily working an IT job at a small tech firm that he probably wouldn’t have gotten without a friend putting in a good word.
Moving to New York with his best friend from college was a decision he wouldn’t undo, but it wasn’t without its strife. If not for his friend, good ol’ Jason Ortega, Ben would’ve fallen through the cracks so many times. Eventually they split from their cozy roommate situation after Jase got a girlfriend, but there were no hard feelings. In fact, he was the only person in the world who knew about Ben’s little secret.
The two worlds of Benjamin's life were starting to collide bit by bit.
“You met Homelander!"
“Shh! Not so loud!” Ben stresses, eyes wide. They’re on their first coinciding lunch break in a while, and they'd decided to pop a few blocks down to a sub shop for their first hangout in damn near three weeks. “Yeah, just–”
“And you worked with him, right?” Jason asks, leaning forward eagerly, food all but totally forgotten. “That’s what all the articles are saying.”
“No, I–” Benjamin releases a heavy sigh. He knows about those. It’d been two weeks since Homelander propositioned him, and… well.
It had been an interesting two weeks.
“It wasn’t like that.” Ben says, mind wandering back…
Bodega Burglary Botched! Spidey and Homelander Team Up, had been Vought News Network’s big headline of the day the morning after the confrontation in the alley. Ben pretty much choked on his bowl of Maeve-O’s when the segment ran on his TV.
“Boy, I’ll tell ya,” Homelander said, smiling perfectly for the camera. “That Spider-Man is exactly what we need in The Seven. After last night, I really do see why people say he looks out for the little guy.”
Ben must have looked quite the sight standing there in his boxers, spoon dangling from his mouth. Did he have bedhead or was his hair just showing how absolutely fucking insane he felt in the moment?
“I can’t think of anyone better to fill Translucent’s shoes. So, Spidey, if you’re seeing this: you’ve got my vote buddy!”
“You mother fucker…” Ben murmured. This was a power play unlike anything he could’ve imagined. This wasn’t just for PR– though it definitely was. This was a way to turn the public onto the idea. To make sure the wall crawler would be reminded of the offer everywhere he went.
Which is precisely what happened. And now it was happening in his personal life, which was even worse. Not that Jase knew the fine details of what had happened, but…
“Man, Vought’s been hounding me for a while now.” He explains. “And now they sent the big dog.”
Ben takes a moment, voice hushed, to tell Jason about all that had happened. About how intimidating the whole thing was, how Homelander practically looked right through him, how he fucking name-dropped him despite every length the bug has gone to keep his identity a secret.
“You wanna know what else?” Ben asks, glancing from side to side. “I think he’s fucking stalking me.”
“Dude…”
“Yeah, so get this…”
He spares no details.
It started off small. Simple fly-by’s, flickers of red, white, and blue in the sky zipping by at the most random of times. At first, it seemed like something weird in his peripherals, but then Benjamin learned to look up. He made eye contact three days after first noticing his stalker while walking into work, and he’s not sure if that made Homelander more bold but he definitely did get worse.
Benjamin could’ve coped with the stalking. In fact, he was almost getting used to it, but then he went for the newly bought jug of milk in the fridge and found the seal cracked and roughly a quarter of the contents missing.
The lack of cup in the sink had him pouring the contents down the drain because that bastard clearly drank from the jug. After that, subtlety went clear out the fucking door.
Ben’s apartment isn’t the neatest thing on planet Earth, but he prides himself on keeping up with his laundry. His closet was organized, shoes kicked into a slobbishly-neat pile in said closet, and his underwear drawer was folded to perfection.
So why in the world were his boxer briefs unrolled from their tight, military-esque fold? Why is his acoustic guitar on the stand where the electric normally sits?
And why the fuck is the bed he made that morning now unmade and very obviously laid in?
Homelander had crossed a line. This wasn't just some light stalking and intimidation, this was a Goldy Locks level violation of his privacy and space, and Ben didn’t know if it was going to end up so bad someday that he'd wake up to the fucker standing in the corner like some patriotic version of the hat man.
“And it’s still happening,” he tells Jason. His best friend stares at him wide eyed with his mouth parted in disbelief.
“Man, I hope you changed your toothbrush…” He says.
“Fuck… No, but I will later, I–”
A ringing from Jason’s phone breaks their banter and signals the end of their break. Ben takes the opportunity to grab his own phone and type a message to him. Eyes up when we leave. Don’t react to this.
They pay and leave. Sure as the sun rises in the morning, on the edge of the roof across the street stands Homelander, who smirks down at them, clearly having used that super hearing of his to listen in.
“Woah…” Jase utters.
Ben simply keeps his eyes up, watching closely as the star spangled supe gives an informal salute and takes off.
“Dude…” Jason says. “That’s fucked.”
Yeah, Ben thinks to himself. I’m fucked.
By the end of the third week, Ben’s absolutely had it. He can feel Homelander’s eyes piercing through the walls of his apartment building. In fact, Benjamin knows right where he’s sitting. He’d been laying in bed relaxing before his usual run through the city.
He hates to admit it, but… he’s given some thought to the offer. Moral objections aside, he could make a real difference at Vought. Plus, there’s the opportunity to try to change it from the inside out. Maybe leak some information here or there…
Nothing he’s vocalized, of course. He’d never risk Homelander hearing something and come barreling through the wall to laser him in two for even considering it.
But enough was enough. These little interferences in his life weren’t going to stop, it seemed, unless he did something about it. Ben swings his legs off the side of the bed and stares down at where his suit lays in a pile on the floor. There was no sense in even putting the fucking mask on. Homelander can see through it anyway. He knows who he is, where he lives… The jig is up as far as secrecy with Homelander goes, if there was even any to begin with.
Ben walks to the window and peers out. Just as he predicted, Homelander is stood on the building across the street, looking almost amused at the bug’s knowledge of his location.
“Get over here,” Ben says. He knows Homelander can hear it. “For once, you’re being invited inside.” With that, he opens the window.
What the fuck am I doing, Ben thinks to himself. Fuck, I should’ve gone out, not let him in. Fuck, fuck fuck…
It’s a curious thing to watch Homelander float through the window perfectly horizontal. It never occurred to Ben that flying supes could do that so easily…
“Benjamin,” Homelander greets. “Nice of you to finally extend the offer.”
The bug plops down on the edge of his bed, gesturing to his desk chair for Homelander to sit. It’s almost comedic to watch him swish his cape out of the way to do so.
“Y’know, I can cope with you stalking me,” Ben says, getting right to the point. “But rifling through my drawers is overdoing it.”
Homelander smiles, and it’s almost scary to see him so close in such an intimate environment. Outside, he’s practically god. In here he’s… scary in a different way. Especially when Ben notices just how sharp his canines are.
“Couldn’t help it, Benny. Besides, you’ve got some interesting things.” Homelander turns in the chair just slightly to rap his gloved knuckles against the top drawer of Ben’s nightstand. “Especially in here, you dirty boy.”
Ben’s cheeks flare red immediately. Fuck, he hadn’t even considered–
“You are interesting, I’ll tell ya.” Homelander continues. “You’re so fucking ordinary, and yet you’re about to be in The Seven. Nothin’ to you besides that do-good moral compass of yours and some spandex.”
“What do you mean, ‘about to,’” Ben asks incredulously. “I haven’t agreed to anything.”
Homelander gives him a smile so sinister that it practically takes a bite out of his resolve. “Oh, I know. But you’re going to once we’re done here, trust me.”
Ben cocks a brow. “... explain.”
“Not yet.”
Homelander leans to the side and snags one of those guitars he was clearly very familiar with. “You’re a peculiar little thing, you know that?” He says, finger plucking awkwardly at a nylon string that damn near snaps under his strength. It makes Ben cringe a little. “You’re so full of anxiety I can practically smell it on you, but you still have the balls to tell me no. You’re pretty much a shut in as...” Homelander gestures vaguely to Ben to describe his secret identity. “But then you’re such a social butterfly. Thought you might’ve just had a thing for being stared at in spandex, but you’re quite the little ray of sunshine in the leotard.”
“I–”
Homelander holds up a finger.
“And you’re so fucking sad, little Benjamin.”
What..?
“You’re lonely. Just that one buddy of yours and that strained relationship with good ol’ mom and dad… plus that cousin or whatever the boy is.” Homelander plucks the lowest string, a deep open note reverberating through the body of the instrument. “But you’re so sad, crying at night like you do.”
But I haven’t–
“I can tell what you’re thinking… You haven’t had a bad night in a few weeks.” Homelander says nonchalantly. “What, you think I wasn’t scoping you out before that night in the alley? Please. I know you down to the fucking lube you use at this rate.”
“What the f–”
“Astroglide, by the way.” He says, wiggling his brows. “You want that spider-high you get when you’re swinging around to be permanent? Quit your little desk job, stop being a pussy, and join my team. Go have time to live your personal life– I don’t fucking care– just do the right thing.”
Ben’s gaze falls and he picks at his fingers. Fucker found the sore spot and was using it to his full advantage.
“Don’t look so sad, Benny boy. I’m offering you the relief you’ve been looking for, aren’t I?” Homelander smiles almost genuinely. “So exhausted all the time, too. When was the last time you got eight hours, huh? I’ve seen the way that little tingle in your head wakes you up all the time. Plus all those late nights… you must be so burnt out.”
“Shut up…” Ben tries, but it comes out more sad than he means for it to. He hates how fucking right Homelander is.
“Friends, family, rest… No more rent struggles…” Homelander sets the instrument down and turns toward Ben. “You know what else?” He asks, voice almost sweet. When Ben looks at him, he grins. “Ma and Pa will thank you when I don’t drop an oil tanker on them from orbit.”
Ben’s blood runs cold.
“Yeah, I flew by a day ago. Nice little suburban house in Annville, right? Pops has a nice red truck.”
No, no, no– fuck–
“Be a shame if they had to suffer because of you, wouldn’t it?”
Benjamin sits stock still, his only movements being shakes of fear and anger. How fucking dare he? How dare he hold something so–
“Like I said, you will be joining The Seven. And, if you do, no harm will come to mom and pop– I promise.”
He knows he has no choice now.
“So, little Benjamin,” Homelander says, rising from the chair. “What’ll it be?”
As if he has any choice.
“Fine…”
“Oh,” Homelander cocks a brow. “What was that? I think I need you to be a little louder.”
“Fine,” Ben says, more conviction in his voice this time.
“Say it. The whole thing.” Homelander demands, smile growing even wider. “You’re gonna join The Seven.”
“I’m…” Ben sighs. “I’m going to join The Seven.”
“Attaboy!” Homelander chirps, clapping his gloved hands together. “Alright, buddy, get some shoes on and let's get you to the tower for your big signing day! Did I mention you get a sign-on bonus? Pretty killer, right?”
Dejectedly, Ben stands from the bed and slips his shoes on.
He supposes he’ll be signing his contract in his pajamas.

Eddie Jordan
Flamboyant Formula One team boss who was also an entrepreneur and skilled deal-maker
Viewers of Netflix’s Drive to Survive have become accustomed to the modern Formula One world of enormous hi-tech teams supported by armies of corporate sponsors and marketing, media and PR specialists. Eddie Jordan, who has died aged 76 of prostate cancer, represented a previous era of buccaneering individualists who made their own luck and built their teams in their own image.
“We were johnny-come-latelies, noisy, brash, having a good time, giving the establishment two fingers,” Jordan told MotorSport magazine. “So we got lots of attention, lots of value for our sponsors, and a huge fanbase.”
Jordan Grand Prix draped Page 3 models over their cars and were the rock’n’rollers in the F1 paddock, not least because Jordan could frequently be seen flailing away behind his drumkit in his band Eddie’s Pitstop Boogie Boys (who often played at Silverstone after the British Grand Prix) or subsequently Eddie & the Robbers. He was good friends with rock stars including George Harrison, Genesis’s Mike Rutherford, Chris Rea and John Lydon, and when Led Zeppelin staged their one-off reunion at London’s O2 Arena in 2007, Eddie was there.
But he was also a brilliant entrepreneur and deal-maker. He gave Michael Schumacher his first Formula One drive, and his efforts also ensured that Jordan came fifth in the World Championship in their debut year of 1991, a remarkable achievement for a fledgling independent team. During his team’s lifespan from 1991 to 2005, he employed numerous top drivers including Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello, the 1996 world champion Damon Hill, Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jean Alesi.
In 1998, Hill brought the team their first win at the Belgian Grand Prix, and Frentzen added two more the following year, helping Jordan to reach third place in the World Championship, their best performance. In 2003 Giancarlo Fisichella won the team’s final victory at Interlagos in Brazil.
Jordan was a close friend of F1’s eminence grise Bernie Ecclestone, and shared something of his deal-making instinct. In 1995 he made a small fortune by selling Irvine’s contract to Ferrari. He explained: “Irvine would come to me for free and I’d give him a three-year contract, and build him up, and build him up, and then sell him to Ferrari. He’d get 13 or 14 million and Ferrari would pay me five.” A major sponsorship deal with Benson & Hedges for the 1996 season prompted Jordan’s cars to turn yellow.
In 1998, Jordan sold half his shares to the private equity firm Warburg Pincus, then bought them back at a substantial profit. On Ecclestone’s recommendation, he sold Jordan Grand Prix to the billionaire Alex Schnaider for a reported $60m, and in 2006 the team became Midland F1 (and would subsequently become Spyker and Force India before its latest iteration as Aston Martin).
He pulled off another entrepreneurial coup in 2024, when acting as manager for Adrian Newey, arguably the greatest car designer in F1 history. He negotiated Newey’s transfer from Red Bull to Aston Martin, based at Jordan’s original Silverstone site, for a rumoured salary of £30m.
After selling his team, he had a media career as an F1 pundit, for BBC Sport’s Grand Prix programme from 2009, then for Channel 4’s F1 coverage from 2016. He presented Top Gear in 2016-18, and in 2023 he and David Coulthard launched their podcast, Formula for Success.
Eddie was born in Dublin, the son of Paddy and Eileen Jordan. His father was an accountant for the Electricity Supply Board, and his mother a housewife. He also had an elder sister, Helen. “My mother was the boss and head of the family, and I think I took a lot from her,” Eddie told the Sunday Telegraph. “We had that strong mother-and-youngest-son bond. I was driven.”
He attended Synge Street Christian Brothers school, displaying early entrepreneurial flair by dealing conkers, marbles and school textbooks, and at one point considered becoming a priest (his father’s twin sister was a senior nun with the Irish Sisters of Charity). He briefly considered dentistry but then got a job in the Bank of Ireland. In 1970, a banking strike prompted him to move to Jersey to earn money, where he not only trained in accountancy but tried go-karting, and became infatuated with it.
Back in Ireland, he pursued his karting hobby and was successful enough to win the Irish Kart Championship in 1971. He then moved up to Formula Ford (partly sponsored by a Dublin carpet shop), although he suffered a temporary setback when he broke both legs in a crash at the Mallory Park circuit in Leicestershire in 1975. He bounced back in Formula Atlantic, and won the Irish Formula Atlantic title in 1978.
He then moved to England and, now married to Marie McCarthy (a former basketball player for Ireland), tried his luck in Formula Three, but with little success. He decided to switch from driver to team owner, and formed Eddie Jordan Racing (EJR) in 1979.
The team enjoyed a standout season in F3 in 1983, when their driver Martin Brundle came a close second to the gifted Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna. “We so nearly won the championship because we psyched Senna, and he started to make mistakes,” Jordan said.
In 1987 Johnny Herbert won the British F3 title with EJR, then in 1989 EJR’s new signing, the French driver Alesi, won the F3000 title. Herbert had now entered F1 with the Benetton team, and Alesi followed suit with Tyrrell (assisted by Jordan’s sponsorship contacts with the Camel cigarette brand).
This inspired Jordan to make the leap to F1 himself. He assembled a team including the designer Gary Anderson, and attracted sponsorship from Marlboro, 7UP and the Irish government.
He signed up the drivers Andrea de Cesaris and Bertrand Gachot, who racked up some solid results before Gachot was involved in a bizarre road-rage incident at Hyde Park Corner in London in which he sprayed a taxi driver with CS gas. This earned Gachot a prison sentence, and as replacement Jordan signed Schumacher for his F1 debut.
Schumacher only drove once for Jordan, at Spa in Belgium, but his performance was so sensational that he was scooped up by the Benetton team, even though Jordan apparently had a watertight contract with him. The episode highlighted the machiavellian politics lurking behind the glamorous facade of F1.
Jordan had numerous interests outside motor racing, building up a substantial property portfolio as well as being a shareholder in Celtic FC and co-owner of the London Irish Rugby Club. He had investments in gaming and entertainment businesses, and launched his own V-10 vodka and the energy drink EJ-10. He also owned several luxury yachts.
He was a patron of the child cancer charity CLIC Sargent and the youth charity the Amber Foundation. In 2012 he was appointed an honorary OBE for his services to charity and motor racing. His autobiography, An Independent Man, was published in 2007.
On Jordan’s death, Ecclestone commented: “Eddie was a special guy. Tell me which team principal today is like him. You can’t give me one because there isn’t one. They don’t make them like that now. We will never replace him in Formula One.”
He is survived by Marie and their children, Zoe, Miki, Zak and Kyle.

Is SusSEX an island inhabited by misfits?
Ashley Hansen doesn't need to start a (PR firm) Communications Agency w/meGain. What Ashley needs is intensive THERAPY (& so does Mandana).
They obviously believe the entire world (outside of lala land) is just plain STUPID!
Surely I'm not the only person who vividly remembers when Ashley (Momtaheni) Hansen QUIT brand susSEX?

Now the sussy-est team on the planet would have us to believe that Ashley is not only the current head of archeFRAUD communications, but she's transitioning into a new role as the head of her own company where susSEX is her 1st client and an INVESTOR.
I have zero sympathy for what's coming, zero. Watching James Holt rub shoulders with American VIPs as if he's a celebrity is stomach turning. archeFRAUD must be the best grift in town! Ashley is just as bad as Holt and The Meghans! What's worse is that she's promoting her company meGain's company & brand as HONEST media. 🥴🤦♀️
Ashley told US media how she likes a boss who telephones her spouse EVERY day to "check-in" while she's out for a medical leave of absence.
Ashley is also such an immature and emotionally fragile person that she required 2 girl bosses (sparry & wife) to make her FEEL seen & cared for---- as if she's just one (1) of the (invisible) susSEX children 🤢
A group of liars & bullies who dare to fraudulently market TRUTH & KINDNESS. You couldn't make any of this up.

youtube
So basically meGain has launched her own PR/Communications Company with Ashley at the helm.
"Meghan Markle’s Friend Is Launching a New Business, and the Sussexes Are the First Clients"

Ashley Hansen, the couple’s current head of communications, is starting her own firm, Three Gate Strategies, and continuing her work with Harry and Meghan.
By Erin Vanderhoof October 3, 2024
For the last four years, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been growing a US-based staff to help them establish a legacy in charity and business under their own names. Ashley Hansen, the couple’s current head of communications, has worked with the couple for over two years, helping to steer the ship through major moments like the release of the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and Harry’s blockbuster memoir, Spare. Now Hansen is branching out by starting her own communications firm called Three Gate Strategies, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be her first clients.
“We are so proud of Ashley, especially as a female entrepreneur,” the duchess told Vanity Fair in a statement on behalf of the couple. “We look forward to having her focused expertise on our business and creative projects and her continued oversight of our communications team. My husband and I are excited to be alongside Ashley as she builds something extraordinarily special with her firm.”
Though Hansen will be taking on more accounts as her company grows, she plans to continue her work with Meghan and Harry and their communications team across their Archewell Foundation, business endeavors, and media projects. Hansen will work with other high-profile clients in entertainment, tech, and finance, and will remain based in Los Angeles.
Three Gate draws its name from a proverb often attributed to Rumi, which posits that a person should let their words pass through “three gates” before speaking: “Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?”
Hansen said that Meghan helped her brainstorm a name for the company, and remembering their shared affection for the saying, the selection felt like a “lightbulb moment.” 🤦♀️🥴
Ashley & the megaLiar developed this "logo" 🤢

The Rumi reference is also an homage to Hansen’s Persian heritage, as the poet lived in 13th century Greater Iran. In 2022, Hansen was present when Meghan gave a speech bringing attention to Iran’s Women, Life, Freedom movement, wearing a shirt with its name in Farsi.
Since relocating to the US in 2020, Meghan has been investing in women-owned businesses and she considers Hansen’s new venture part of her growing portfolio, which also includes accessories brand Cesta Collective, beverage brand Clevr, and more. Since April, the duchess has also been teasing the launch of her own lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, with sneak peaks at its future wares, including gift baskets with jars of strawberry jam. In addition to her work on Archewell’s charitable endeavors, Hansen will also work with the duchess on the business and her other creative projects.
Hansen told Vanity Fair her new venture will build on the work she has already done to support the couple.
Who in their right mind would seek to duplicate the work and counsel provided to brand susSEX???
“It came about after I was approached by other clients seeking the high-quality counsel I have provided to the Sussexes,” she said. “The Duke and Duchess’s ongoing support and trust in me to execute their vision is testament to the meaningful working relationship we have built.
Hansen began working with Meghan and Harry in May 2022, following a career in communications that included roles at UTA, Annapurna Pictures, and Universal Filmed Entertainment Group.
Only a fool would admit this: "During her time with the Archewell team, she oversaw communications during a particularly historic and tumultuous time for the couple, including the 2022 death of Queen Elizabeth II and the 2023 coronation of King Charles III."

for the send me a show : the whole of Disney era of pr

1.)Ninja Storm
Fav Character: We know this already its Dustin, he really is loveable and whether people like or dislike the season they aren't allowed to hate him
Fav Female Character: Very much enjoyed Tori and her interactions with the team, I think she worked well as the first female blue alongside being a freaking water elemental like she's underrated as hell.
My OTP: Hunter/Dustin, I have this in the morning, lunch and dinner. Honestly need to stop making doomed scenarios for them, love it better when they are happy with each other.
My NOTP: Nothing really tbh that i can think, I guess I'm not too huge on Marah/Dustin unless they are only platonic, Tori/Cam is a no go unless it's like poly.
My Other Ships: we love Cam/Shane in this house and Tori/Blake(add Kapri in the mix sometimes). Not a ship per se but firm believer Lothor dated some of the men in the academy back in the past, I mean it was an all guys school before Miko.
My Least Favorite Character: None really.
My Favorite Episode: The Wild Wipeout
Who I Would Date Off The Show: Dustin, Shane, Hunter, could alternate. I'm more Dustin coded so I'd fit right in😭
2.)Dino Thunder
Fav Character: Trent and Ethan, both goated characters in my book
Fav Female Character: We love Kira and Cassidy.
My OTP: Conner/Trent or Conner/Trent/Ethan/Kira where Trent in both of those is being loved and held closely at all times
My NOTP: unless it's poly I'm not really a big fan of Kira/Conner unless they are platonic ngl. Tommy/Elsa is more of laughs instead of love for me.
My Other Ships: Conner/Ethan is a really good one and anything involving Cassidy/Devin/Trent is fun(thank you @augment-techs for this). Also rare but with how the episode ended with them making up I kinda have a Derrick/Ethan one where Ethan shows him more science.
My Least Favorite Character: Unsure if I have one tbh..
My Favorite Episode: Lost in Translation and Thunder Storm, also bummed it was the last time we saw the Ninja Storm team outside of Tori, 20 years since…
Who I Would Date Off The Show: Conner could be handled well but I'd have to keep him informed on things not to say out of pocket and Trent and I would get along well together with our artsy sides(unsure if Anton would approve of me but let's guilt trip him)
3.)SPD
Fav Character: Bridge is peak
Fav Female Character: I love me some Syd and a firm believer that she should've become a red ranger
My OTP: Sky/Jack is cute along with Jack/Bridge/Sky
My NOTP: None tbh, I think there are a good amount of options for everyone here.
My Other Ships: Sky/Nick would've been chaotic if Mystic Force got their crossover. The nepotism in this one is powerful, Cruger/Merrick/RJ/Zen-Aku cause howl☠️☠️☠️
My Least Favorite Character: not a character but Sky's attitude at the beginning, he became better as we went on but Mrs.Tate should've arrived and smacked him across the head
My Favorite Episode: TBD but abridged is pretty good imo
Who I Would Date Off The Show: Jack is hot but he'd spite me for being taller than him, Sky I could get around along with Bridge.
4.)Mystic Force
Fav Character: Chip is undefeated
Fav Female Character: We stan Vida in this house for obvious reason.
My OTP: Vida/Necrolai is awesome and will never not be iconic, Daggeron/Xander kinda got me thinking lately(both pairings rival each other).
My NOTP: Leelee with anyone on the team.
My Other Ships: Nick/Sky, We shall not break up Udonna/Leanbow unless they are widows☠️
My Least Favorite Character: Don't have any but whoever was picking on Xander for his accent as a child needs to be dealt with, if Chase was in this universe he'd comfort Xander
My Favorite Episode: Dark Wish is awesome and legend mode is epic as hell
Who I Would Date Off The Show: Xander and Daggeron would be at the top of my list, getting magic'd all over the place if a catch my drift☠️
5.)Operation Overdrive
Fav Character: Mack is adorable
Fav Female Character: Rose a genius, an icon and is the moment
My OTP: Mack/Tyzonn works well, Will with anyone on the team works as well
My NOTP: Nothing much but Rose seems more into girls, like ships with the guys are okay but she definitely kisses the ladies
My Other Ships: Hear me out, Andrew/Tarrick as doomed fathers...but who's the wife in this situation?
My Least Favorite Character: no least favorite character but I hate how some of the Fandom is rude to Samuel Benta but doesn't have the same energy for ASJ
My Favorite Episode: TBD
Who I Would Date Off The Show: Mack and Tyzonn could work for me.
6.)Jungle Fury(MY SHOWWW)
Fav Character: arguably it's RJ, funny mentor, skilled, purple, werewolf, hot as fuck
Fav Female Character: Lily and Camille are epic, also standing ovation to Anna Hutchinson's acting cause her voice range is wild.
My OTP: Casey/RJ...I've been on this app for threeish years we all know this, along with Casey/Jarrod. THAT TWINK HAD EVERYONE IN SHAMBLES.
My NOTP: Casey/Lily, unless you have a poly thing going on keep them separated cause she's like a bigger sister tbh.
My Other Ships: Theo/Lily, Jarrod/Camille, Fran/Dom along with RJ/Merrick cause I love those wolves together.
My Least Favorite Character: Dai Shi's a punk ass bitch for fumbling the greatness of Camille
My Favorite Episode: The Phantom Beast arcs as a whole since we got more of the awesome showcase of the rinshi beasts along with Jarrod and Camille's beautiful rinzin forms. Also the penultimate episode with Casey saving Jarrod and fighting Dai Shi like...so selfless yet fans say he was a crybaby and had no character development??? Sure okay.
Who I Would Date Off The Show: Casey, RJ and Jarrod.
7.)RPM
Fav Character: Ziggy
Fav Female Character: Dr K is innocent of all crimes and we protect her.
My OTP: Ziggy/Dillon is so adorable along with Scott in the mix, Flynn pretty much with anyone works as well in my eyes
My NOTP: I guess it's okay but I'm not a big fan of Dillon/Summer.
My Other Ships: rare but the idea is Flynn/Trent with the idea Gemma introduced them during the crossover.
My Least Favorite Character: Fuck Venjix for making not only their lives worse but any ranger teams in this universe.
My Favorite Episode: TBD
Who I Would Date Off The Show: At the same Scott and Flynn, separately Dillon cause I'd like to be the sunshine for him(but also cause he could protect me).
